landscape photo

For this assignment our jobs were to take 3 photos all of which were next to each other. Then we had to put them all together to form a wide photo shot called a landscape. From there our challenge was to put all three together and edit them in GIMP to make it look like its just one big photo not 3 different ones. I learned a lot during this assignment. I learned how to connect photos and make them look like there was no change, how to use the different tools in GIMP to give results like the one above, and also learned for about a landscape photo and how much editing is done to each of them.

Macro

For this weeks assignment I decided to shoot for macro. I was without a high quality camera school camera so I was forced to use  a low quality everyday camera, but was able to make use out of it. For this photo I ran over to my grandparents house to pick up the camera and when I was leaving I thought the back of my car looked cool with the specs of dirt and decided to take the picture.

Gimp Car editing

Before

After

For this assignment our job was to take a car that was given to us and edit it to make it look for professional and a better looking car. During this assignment I learned how to crop out things that I don't want like the background or small details on the car. I used the layers tool to make the colors pop out more and make it look for defined. I learned a lot of things in this assignment that will help me with my own photos that can help them look so much better

Nature

For this weeks photo assignment I decided to shoot for nature. With all the leaves changing colors I thought it would be a good opportunity to get a lot of interesting photos of the different colors of the leaves and how they contrast with each other. The photo above was a picture of a tree outside the school.  I choose this photo because I thought it had a good sense of balance with the way the branches broke off from the middle to the outside and also the texture of the bark.

Architecture Photo Assignment

In this photo assignment our job was to pick a category from a selected list. From there we had a week to take as many photos as we wanted to get a few great pictures for our album and our overall best picture. My best picture was down the long hallway of the school. I had a lot of fun taking photos for this assignment because I had the chance to look at different architecture structures in different ways.

Gimp Assignment Pop Art

For this assignment our job was to take a picture of someone or yourself and upload it to GIMP our editing software. From there we were told to make it black and white so it had an interesting affect. We then changed the size of the photo and copied and pasted 4 of the same photos and put them all next to each other. After that we changed the photos to a new color, yellow, green, red, and blue. Finally we anchored the layers so everything is on the same layer.
